So, I’ve decided to start this blog so that friends and
family can keep track of me during my upcoming trip. I’ll be heading north and west from Key West
in an effort to see more of this great country of ours. There’s so much out there that I’ve never
seen, except through television or the Internet. I want to see it with my own eyes.
I thought that putting updates on a blog will keep people
updated on where I am and what I’m doing.
I also thought it would be a good way to chronicle this journey across
the country, and let me share it with those that I care about. If others wander across this blog and become
entertained by my thoughts and experiences, I’m okay with that too.
Let’s something straight, right from the beginning. I will acknowledge that I am, at times, arrogant
and given to grandiose language about my thoughts and observations. I’m telling you right now that I will, occasionally,
go on at length about things that no one else could possibly care about. I’m going to apologize for that right here,
right now, but this is the last time I’m going to apologize about that. You’re the one(s) checking up on me. You’ll simply have to suffer through.
For those of you stuck at home, whether in Key West, North Carolina,
South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, or Washington, DC, I will try to do
some really exciting things so that you can all be terribly jealous of me. Remember, this is all for you.
